The most common valve failures in a refinery tend to fall into two categories: unacceptable leakage, and seizing or sticking. Trimteck’s flagship OpGL Globe Control Valve is designed to overcome both problems, and thus offers the longest Mean Time Between Preventive Maintenance (MTBPM) of any control valve on the market today.

Specifically, our OpTK Linear Piston Cylinder Actuators combine with the self-aligning seat in the OpGL Globe Control Valve to routinely produce ANSI Leakage Class V metal-to-metal, thereby providing a much tighter seal and reducing the wire drawing effect and unwanted leakage. Seizing and sticking is caused by the close dimensional tolerances between the plug and cage on cage-guided valves. Our top-guided, or bonnet-guided, design eliminates the need for a cage and along with it the potential for seizing and sticking.
